Before we start with the Sixteen Steps I want to share with you a book that changed my life. It’s called the Twelve Pillars by Jim Rohn.

We will be sharing one on Jim Rohn’s Pillars with you in each of the Steps.

These Pillars are fundamental pieces of life’s puzzle that will help you in your personal and business life. I encourage you to write down or copy each Pillar somewhere you can remember it.

Jim Rohn had a phrase he used to always say:

“Work harder on yourself then on your job.”

He would say if you want to make more money, become more valuable to the marketplace by studying and taking the classes to improve yourself.

So in order to help you begin implementing the right mindset to succeed online (this literally can be the difference between you succeeding or not) we’re going to ask you to read The Twelve Pillars book.

Don’t worry, you will have lots of time to finish it. You will have till Step Six to finish it. And I’m excited to share this book with you as it is a simple, easy and fun book to read that is a life changer at the same time. If you can’t afford to buy the book, there is a free basic outline of the book here but it’ s not anything like reading the book. If you don’t actually read it, you miss the point of the book and rob yourself of what the book can do for you.

Now lets dig in to this Step…

Part One:

Warm & Cold Market

First let’s go over your list and how that’s going for you. As you know, the bigger your list, the bigger chance you will have of finding someone that will want to join you. It’s important that you try to use the “Non Magic Formula” below to connect with your list. If you do this, you will have a much higher chance of success. It’s important to understand your two markets: Your “warm market” and your “cold market”. Your warm market are people who know you and probably trust you. Your cold market are those who don’t know you and don’t trust you. Trust is at the very core of whether someone joins you and becomes a paying member.

Until you understand how to create trust with your cold market, understand that creating income by advertising online to your cold market will give you little success. It’s our goal to try and teach you this but in the meantime how will you follow the Power of One” and get one new member a month if you aren’t trying to connect with those who trust you?

Second, do you remember the 7 parts to Alan Cosens “The Non Magic Recruiting Formula“? This will take ALL the STRESS off of you and help you so you don’t need to worry about trying to “convince” people to join you. Let’s go over them one more time:

Let’s go through it one more time:

The start is CONTACT. Unless you make contact, nothing can happen. Then you have to COMMUNICATE a simple message and qualify whether they are interested. Creating a little RAPPORT will help to create a good feeling between the two of you. The message could be a question such as “are you interested in making more income?. The person would QUALIFY by simply saying “yes” or “no”. No other questions need to be asked. Nothing about the nature of the business needs to be discussed. In fact if they don’t qualify, then nothing should be said. Qualification should be like a GATE. They are either blocked by the gate by not qualifying or they pass the gate by saying “yes”.

If someone avoids the question by saying “what is it?”, you don’t need to answer it until they qualify or don’t qualify by answering your question first. If they say “yes” then you can “invite” them to see a presentation such as a video or some presentation. You don’t need to do the presentation yourself – in fact its more duplicatable if you don’t (because very few people can present it as it deserves). Then you just need to follow up with them later after they watch the video (or presentation) and see what they thought and answer questions. It doesn’t hurt to have your sponsor or a someone who is succeeding in the business to help you answer the questions. This could be done with a 3-way call for instance.

For your information, this formula can be used with people you trust (your warm market) or those who don’t know or trust you (your cold market). Give feedback to your sponsor or team leader to let them know how many people are on your list and how you’re doing communicating with them. Later in this Step, we’re going to show you how to start advertising online to your cold market. Remember, your cold market don’t know or trust you and learning how to create trust takes skill (learning the 5 Critical Skills to be exact).

Part Three:

Understanding a Sales Funnel

Critical Skill #5 is Effective Funnel Building. So we want to share with you a little bit about funnels. Everyone who has an online business needs to create a sales funnel in order to convert their website visitors into paying customers.

If you fail to do that, you will hardly make any money.

Your primary goal with your sales funnel is to move people from one stage to another until they are ready to purchase.

So what exactly is a funnel and why is it so important?

.The answer in short: A funnel is like Walmart. You walk in wanting a candy bar and walk out with a book, paper towels a movie, a game system and then you walk back in because you forgot the candy bar! You see…Its a specialized system that allows you to sell many targeted items that people need. But in our case the funnel is to eventually help YOU MAKE MONEY.

A funnel is a way to make a lot more money effectively helping people then you could ever make on a stand-alone offer by itself.

Their need is finding a good program with which they can earn money.  Their problem is a lot of fake offers on the internet which offer get rich quick schemes in which they spend and lose their money.

2) Create or leverage a solution

The solution is one of these quality programs. This is not a fake offer, people can earn residual income, they can have help in every step if they want to succeed.

Duplication is the key to making real money with GDI, PMS & PLS. And this is explained in detail in the Sixteen Steps. Duplication helps you to build 5-8 strong teams in GDI, PMS & PLS which also duplicate and create income for you on many levels down.  Not only this but the Sixteen Steps funnel will double or triple what wealth you are making from GDI, PMS and PLS alone.

3) Set up a Sales System

The name of the business was called MOBE and represented “My Online Business Education.” It cost $40 one time fee to join MOBE and this included a one on one personal coach for eight lessons on building an effective online business.

After the eighth lesson it became very expensive. Because of its super mentoring, it was very enticing to want to upgrade. I of course did upgrade and I leaned a ton from them, Their last high end ticket sale was $10,000 (yes, you heard right: ten thousand dollars) and they made that sale all the time from people walking through the system.
From this I learned what an amazing funnel they had and why their affiliates were making SO much money. Often people came into the program for $40 but ended up spending close to $15,000 by the time they had completed it. This helped MOBE make back all their high advertising costs and gave them a great profit too. It also gave me an idea of what to do from them and what not to do.

What NOT to do was copy their greed as they eventually were taken down by the FTC because there were too many complaints. Many people were spending too much and not making it back. Often however, this was their own fault as many people were not willing to actually work. The ones who did usually made a lot of money.

Our program is not like the MOBE program at all in that respect but has still taken valuable concepts from it’s funnel. Funnels are not original to MOBE. Almost every business online has a funnel of some sort. You remember me mentioning Walmart and what the funnel was! Walmart is very strategic about how they place things in their store so that you will find something to pay for and walk out with.

I hope this has helped you understand the importance of a good funnel. Honestly, We don’t know a single funnel out there that teaches all we do in the Sixteen Steps and helps you build the vast amount of Income Streams as we have.

Remember, just work your way through each Step one at a time in your spare time and ask your sponsor or team leader if you need help with anything.

Part Five:

Beginning Advertising Online

We are now going to dive into some basic advertising. The First Critical Skill is “Effective Advertising”. So let’s begin with basic safelist advertising. Watch this video to get started. This video will explain our home site AEMailer.CLUB and all the tons of things to help you. It will also explain our other training system called the “Training Steps“. You don’t need to go through that in addition to the Sixteen Steps. In our opinion, you should focus on the Sixteen Steps and then if you want to add your links to the downline builder (Training Points in AEMailer.COM), do that when you have some extra time. 

Crash Course Basics of Safelist Marketing:

The thing to understand about safelist advertising is that you can join a lot of sites completely for free and spend time clicking on others ads earning credits so that you can advertise and others will see your ads. It works but there are a lot of pro’s and cons. We will talk about these later. The other option is to just pay the ad company and you will be able to send out ads without having to work hard viewing others ads.

For my first three months working online, I spend HOURS each day earning credits in order to send my ads at the end of the day. The thing is that if your ad doesn’t convert and get subscribers very well, it can be a complete waste of time. And if your subscribers don’t connect with you from your email list, it also is a waste of time. Remember what I told you earlier about your cold market not knowing you or trusting you? This is all part of it. So a lot of people become disillusioned with their advertising because of all the complexities that can go wrong.

Basically, I worked for years without consistent results working in safelists and I had lots of paid advertising. The thing I didn’t understand was how my skills implementing or not implementing the 5 Critical Skills effected my results.
