Each of these Pillars are important to continue in your life. It’s CRITICAL to work on these aspects each week in your life. For instance the Pillar about personal development is something you should be working on weekly.

Jeff Olsen in the book the Slight Edge put it something like this: To those who work on themselves a little each day over time eventually “outrun” most people.

Most people don’t work consistently on improving themselves, so those who do will be so far advanced from their peers. This is the key to change. Like Jim Rohn says:  “if you want more, become more.”

Pillar One: Personal Development. Increasing your value will increase your paycheck.

Pillar Two: Total Well Being: “Body Mind & Soul. Finding balance and the importance of developing all three.

.

Pillar Three: The Gift of Relationships.  Taking the time to pull the “weeds” and keep our relationships healthy.

.

Pillar Four: Achieve Your Goals. Written goals go a lot further to help you achieve your goals. Developing more influence (honesty and developing your skills) and making more money to achieve them.

Pillar Five: The Proper Use of Time. There is a difference between the important and the urgent. Most people spend their time on the urgent  things but never get around to the important. Write down your goals and a suggestion is to try to get the most important thing done in your day first.

Pillar Six: Surround Yourself with the Best people. You will probably be as wealthy and happy as the five closest people around you. Move away from those holding you back. You don’t have to not be friends but consider spending less time with them. Build relationships with good people who you admire.

Pillar Seven: Be a Life Long Learner. 90% of millionaires believe in never ending self improvement. Reading or listening to a helpful book once a week is a good suggestion.

Pillar Eight: Life is Sales. Sales involves becoming a person of integrity and advanced skills. People will respect your integrity and your advanced understanding. If you learn influence and sales you can increase your paycheck times 3 in a year.

Pillar Nine: Income Seldom Exceeds Personal Developement.  People who read increase their value. People who increase their value increase how much they are paid. People with $250,000 houses most often have a library. This is not a coincidence. Begin increasing your value by reading The Twelve Pillars. By Jim Rohn.

Pillar Ten: Communication Brings the “Common Ground of Understanding”. 

Everything we do involves working with other people. We can become more successful when we develop our communication skills. Listening to someone (often without trying to interject our own thoughts) is vital.

Pillar Eleven:The World Can Always Use Another Great Leader.” Leadership is all about having a clear vision, being able to have a plan to get there, the ability to communicate it effectively to your team and the action necessary to achieve it. Leaders genuinely care about others. “They are strong but not rude”

.

Pillar Twelve: Leave a Legacy. Life is short and often goes faster then we realize. We can’t choose how long we live but we can choose how well we live. Live with meaning and help others by passing value on to others.

The difference between the successful person and the non successful person lies within doing things “in a certain way”:

1) Creating the dream starts and ends with your mind. Your mind is actually the key to everything. Your mind has a crucial ongoing part to play in making the dream reality..

 

2) “Do everything in an efficient way.”

Efficiency means saving time and getting the most things done in the time you have.

However, the progression is as follows: If you want to have a successful life, each thing you do needs to be successful. So if you have ten tasks and you can only get two of them done successfully then get those two done successfully. But if you can be efficient and get three done successfully, then strive to do that. The key is success. Building your life on your successes. Start what you can finish successfully.

 

3) Thankfulness. Being thankful even when things fail or go wrong. Having a daily thankfulness and building your “thankful attitude” muscles every day.

 

4) “Faith and Purpose.” The ability to see in your minds eye that which is not yet accomplished. It’s easy to just accept things as they are. But it takes real strong faith to see things differently and to work towards your dream.

 

5) Give a greater use value than cash value of what you take.”

 

6) The “Creative Mind” is NOT the “Competitive Mind.” Do not fall into the narrow minded trap of the competitive mind. The world abounds in opportunity.

So many people trying to earn online are jumping from opportunity to opportunity without focusing on learning the five skills I’ve been telling you about. Please believe me. I’ve spent years working different opportunities trying to make money online. I spent years on one program after the next hoping for something easy that would actually work. Nothing does until you grasp these skills and “take the bull by the horns” so to speak. 

Every business opportunity will teach you “the easy way” or the “done for you method” to sell you on their system. Nobody’s going to make money trying to sell you on working hard, and learning real marketing skills (haha). But that’s what life is really about: learning real skills.

 Can you imagine a farmer not doing the right thing to grow his crop year after year but instead trusting some easy done for you idea that didn’t include the basics? For instance, If you don’t first plant the seed, water it day after day, make sure it doesn’t get eaten by birds and pests and burned by the sun and then harvest it  – you will not have a chance at earning from your work throughout the year. It’s the very same for what we do. 
We plant the seeds (advertise our offers), we water them (communicate effectively with our clients), we protect them from “bugs” and from “birds” who will deceive them to go the easy way, we then harvest our crop. It’s always the same.

 There might be some new ways to do this but these things have to be done. And real trust has to be built with your clients or you will lose them to the weeds who will suck all the “water away from them” if you get me. I tell you all this because I want you to understand the simplicity of it all and the need for dedicated focus to succeed. Nothing worthwhile is easy. Nothing. Don’t let anyone get to your heart and tell you differently. The only thing easy in this life is the things God gives us from his love. Everything else must be earned and worked hard for. But the more effort you put in, eventually builds momentum and things get easier.

Do THIS to Reduce Refunds AND Increase Sales

Most new marketers make the painful mistake of thinking the sale is done when the customer buys the product.

Nope.

That’s just the first sale.

Wise marketers who want to stay in business and continue to profit know there are two more sales to be made.

First, you’ve got to sell the new buyer on how great your product is. If you don’t, you’ll get refund more requests.

Second, you’ve got to sell your new buyer on consuming and using your product. When you do, these new customers are far more likely to purchase additional products from you, often at much higher price points.

Interestingly, you can make both of these sales with one simple technique. I’m going to assume that the product in question is an information product, and that it’s a good one – no junk.

Here’s what you do:

When you collect reviews and testimonials prior to launch (you are doing that, right?) you’re going to ask a couple of extra questions of your reviewers:

1: Which is your favorite section/chapter/video of the product?

2: What did you discover and how will you use this information to achieve your goal?

Your questions might be slightly different depending on your product and your niche.

The gist is to get each reviewer to choose a favorite section of the product and tell you what they’re going to do with this information.

For example, “The third video taught me how to add an additional $10,000 to my monthly income with just a few small tweaks to what I’m already doing.”

Or, “The fifth chapter revealed a mistake I’ve been making that nearly cost me my marriage. Now that I’m aware of it, I’ve made a simple adjustment that’s brought my husband and me back together again and we feel like newlyweds!”

You can use these in your sales material, but you can also place these INSIDE your product to remind your customers of why they made the purchase. You might place the testimonials at the beginning of chapters, or one the page containing that particular video, or wherever it’s appropriate.

After people buy your product, they naturally forget most of what the sales letter or sales video told them. A week or two later, they might only remember they paid $199 for a product that will teach them how to blog. If buyer’s remorse sets in before they even consume your product, you’re done for. A refund request will be on its way to your inbox.

By adding these very specific testimonials, you remind them that others have found your product particularly helpful. This can get them to read or watch your product and see how great it is. Then instead of asking for a refund, they’ll be wondering what else you can offer them.

A couple more tips: Use these testimonials as well as bullet points in the follow up email series you send after making the sale. This will remind new buyers of what a great decision they made in purchasing your product and encourage them to consume it and use it.

At the beginning of each chapter or section, as well as on the page where each video is loaded, add in a list of bullet points telling them what they’ll discover in this material.

Remember, it’s important to not just make the initial sale, but to also sell them on the idea that they made a smart purchase as well as selling them on consuming the product. When you do, you’ll reduce refunds dramatically as well as encourage your new buyers to make many more purchases from you in the future.

This Stupid Mistake Will Cost You Sales

Don’t even second guess when I tell you that…

…an abundance of typos on your sales page will create doubt in your prospect. They’ll suspect you have no clue what you’re doing.

Further, they may suspect you’re a fly-by-nighter, someone who threw a site up to grab sales and then disappear like vapor in a storm.

Yes, we all make typos – including and maybe especially me. But I take great pains NOT to make them on sales pages, for good reason.

Recently I was intrigued by an email promising to build a news site that would generate an income for me.

Okay, I know what you’re thinking already. Yeah. Right. Sure it will.

But what the heck… I clicked the link, scrolled down a bit, and here’s the first paragraph I read:

How many errors did you find in this tiny bit of copy?

I found 6 or 7, depending on how you count them.

Even then the writing is terrible.

Yes, English is obviously their second language.

But they couldn’t spare a hundred bucks to get someone to check their copy for them?

Sale lost.

Lesson learned:

Typos in sales letters can and will lower your conversion rates.

Ever think about your destiny?

Hi! 

Albie here from Pasadena (or from my boat which is very likely also lol). 

As you know, each of us have special talents and abilities and a desire to succeed at using these talents – hopefully to help others too. 

When we get caught in a rut and aren’t pushing forward to fulfill this destiny, then we lose our passion for life and find ourselves frustrated and “spinning our wheels”. 

It’s also important to know however, that God loves us no matter where we’re at and no matter what we have achieved. Tomorrow is a new day and even the time we have left in our day is a good place to change gears and start thinking, dreaming and working again to fulfill this in our lives. 

After listening to Joel Oilstone talk about this, I instantly realized what I loved to do and what I wish I could do more for God and for people. I honestly love to write and explore new places and share life with others and help others with the insights God has given me. 

A few months ago we were in the State of Washington visiting family and went to Cape Disappointment. 

While we were there, we saw some really beautiful sites of the Washington coast, beautiful waves and sunsets and had a lot of smiles and happiness being around family. I took a lot of beautiful pictures and shared some of these with you in my blogs. 

However, without God in the center of all of this – there is an emptiness. A beautiful sunset without a connection to God and his love makes the sunset seem cold and empty. But knowing God loves you and is working on your behalf to help you and support you and help you to grow are encouraging. 

When you truly know that God gave his life for you and cares about you like no other – it changes things and you feel alive to want to love him back and to do all you can to let others know about this awesome love too. When you lift up your hands to thank God for his love, it allows you to open your heart even more to receive back his affection for you. Not only this but it opens your heart to achieve like never before because you know what you do will not be in vain.

Earning While Sharing What You Love

.
I wanted to share with you this week about earning while sharing what you love. As you can see I love to travel and find a lot of happiness and excitement going to new places – especially with my lovely wife Janette. 
.
Honestly it’s not easy to figure out how to earn while sharing what you love and I had a hard time of it for many years. The two tips I can give you are: 
.
  1. Being consistent at sharing what you love with others every day is vital. Once you stop doing it, you lose momentum and stop looking for answers. Even if you only share with people for a few moments every day, it’s the consistency that counts above everything else. Jim Rohn has a quote that goes like this: “Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. You don’t fail overnight. Instead, failure is a few errors in judgment, repeated every day.”

Today I’m in my home town of Pasadena. We have a really lovely City Hall and it reminds me of St. Pauls in London England. I go often for a walk there as it’s really lovely. I decided to share a little of it with you!

Often these days, my life is so different working online then it used to be. My confidence has risen 100% since I first started working online in 2012. I run into people all the time now who tell me they want to earn a lot of money online and ask me for my opinion about how long it will take. Let me share with you my answer I shared with a new client recently. I think you’ll find it interesting:


“The thing about earning online is that it’s not as easy as it looks or sounds. In fact every ad out there will tell you how you can easily earn $200 a day etc…

However, after working for five years in 40 different programs, spending 10 hr days “full steam ahead”, working with all my heart and spending thousands of dollars without question to learn everything I could; I did not find this to be true at all.
