Been up Grinch mountain?

You can see my window painting below of “Mt.Crumpit”

“What about if I painted Grinch’s mountain on this window?” I asked
curiously. “That would be so cool!” was the answer back.

So I spent the whole day painting Mount Crumpit (or Grinches
secret lair lol!) for Christmas and really enjoyed it!

The first thing I did was go to my local library and get some books
together on the Grinch (after I read it, I felt like I had been up Grinch
mountain, (haha!).

Second, I sat and started making sketches for an hour or
so to make sure I knew how to draw everything really well,
(you know!)

Since I’ve never actually painted a window before, it was a little
intimidating actually to start brushing on wet paint! In time,
however, I found that it was very easy to erase any misplaced paint,
so that helped!.

After spraying on some white fluffy “snow” from the bottle, I was really
impressed with how it looked. It really made my mountain come alive!
The “snow” almost had a real “flakey” feel about it!

Ok, so let me just say, there’s always something valuable to get from
sharing your real-life experiences with others and In this case, doing
something you love, can not only be fun, BUT PROFITABLE too!

cute dog. The wet sand under my feet felt soft. Little white waves lapped over
my toes and dark wavy patterns on the sand appeared as the water retreated
back to the ocean.

A magical night at the beach…

“It’s so beautiful…” I said to myself as I walked down the sand to the beach.
I looked out at the endless stretch of ocean as the breakers crashed
in on the shore.

Row after row of waves rolled in down the endless stretch of beach. I looked
down and it was further than the I could see.

There’s something magical about watching the nearest wave crest to its fullest
height and then suddenly cascade down upon itself with crashing white water.

I watched as the first crest fell and then the second and third until the momentum
turned into a long white row of white water rolling in with tremendous
strength and energy.

I looked up at the bright stars in the night sky with wonder and could hear
the roar of the waves in the background.

Days like these are refreshing and inspire me to share the feelings I get with you.
It’s the beauty of being able to share what I love with you and know that not only
will I earn from doing so but that I can teach you how to also!

I was falling on my face…

“Oh shoot!” I was screaming inside. “Those are real rocks!”
My boat made a horrible crunching sound as it ran up right onto
the rocks. This was a real life nightmare. How I wished it was just a
dream in that moment! Needless to say, I failed miserably my first few years working online too,
because I had the wrong mindset. I also failed as a new sailor when I got
my first sailboat. Interesting enough, it was for similar reasons (haha!)

I can look back now and laugh but years of pain getting “taken for my
money” over and over for hundreds of dollars – still hurts even today.
And I don’t like to think about what happened to my boat that day
either (lol!).

My failure in both cases could all be summed up to a lack of skills!

On the internet, I thought I would succeed if I just had the right opportunity.
But I was sorely mistaken! Success has everything to do with two things:

1. The right mindset to believe you can achieve success and not give up.

2. Leaning and focusing on the right skills!

If you mess these two things up and believe it’s all in the program – you will
end up doing what I did (jumping from one program to the next endlessly).

And if you don’t believe you can do it (and give up), you will never become
good at what you do (or internet marketing).

In BOTH cases, I REFUSED to give up and messed up a million times both
online and on the ocean. That’s how you have to be if you want to really get
anywhere. Learning from your mistakes is a big part of it. But also being
intelligent enough to find someone who can help you, will save you so much pain!

I don’t know if you were paying attention right now, but that’s me, telling you that
I am here to help you, (if you’re really serious)!

and sent my ad out to over 60 sites in less than five minutes. Here’s a new
way for you to “bring home the bacon” (lol!).

We thought we knew where we were going…

By all indications, we knew exactly where we were going, BUT…

Big blue waves at sea were passing us by with little crests of white, boiling
on their tops. As I looked up, I could see the giant sails billowing with the
wind and it was amazing to watch!

Soon the evening came with its hues, of red, orange and gold. Then night
came creeping in as all the pinkish light slowly vanished.

We were now looking out over the dark ocean. A few stars twinkled here and there.
We could only see the waves when they came right up to the bow and crashed
through. The sky was dark, the ocean was dark – we really were “flying blind”!

And then, all of a sudden, a very distant, white light appeared. It seemed to flash
every once in a while, it was very curious! So another shipmate and I went down
below to look at the map. After looking at it carefully, and seeing our position, we
realized it had to be the distant warning of a lighthouse on the tip of an island.

Wow! That really put things in perspective. We are heading straight at
the island and didn’t even see it in the darkness. It’s a good thing for
light houses (Haha!).

Anyway, needless to say, we changed direction!

Another night (slightly different from this one), found us looking at the radar
and seeing many different shapes glowing on the screen. These shapes were
the indication of ships passing. It’s a good thing we had the radar on because
it was a little bit foggy and difficult to see anything outside in the
misty darkness!

All this to say, it’s a good thing for maps, radar, lighthouses and anything
that acts as an indicator of where you SHOULD be going.

I’m going to try and be an indicator at this time and help guide you on the
right path.

First off you need a good sponsor and someone to help guide you daily
in the right direction. Second, you need to learn the 5 critical skills if you
really want to succeed online.

Third, you should be building real connections and relationships with your
subscribers. Fourth, you should upgrade (or save and upgrade) to the higher
ticket items in your program so that when you make a sale, you have the
potential to earn so much more than just “candy money“.
Why let all that effort to get a sale go to waste?

Below are 3 KEYS to earning ‘big time” on the Internet.

The first KEY that you have to do is save up a little bit of money so you
can get started with a good program where that allows you to earn 500 to
1000 dollars in a single sale. If you want to know some good options,
feel free to ask me.

The second KEY you need to do is find some ways to save some money
each month on your current bills. If you can cut back $100 or more,
that will really help you with your advertising and so forth.

The third KEY to do is to start saving up for that program’s upgrade.
These are going to make your earnings 10 times higher. I know most people say
to themselves: “Oh, I’ll do that later.” But then, when they make a sale, they only
earn at the lowest level and give themselves no potential of earning more.

In reality it takes just as much effort to earn $20 as it does $1000 (it’s just a
matter of having vision and insight ahead of time to prepare yourself!)

The fourth KEY you need is to work daily on learning the skills to success.

I’ve heard it said that success is 80% psychological and 20% strategical.
So that means that you need to work on your mindset a little bit each day.
Most people quit simply because they meet failure. Have you ever heard
of a baby learning how to walk in the very first day? Yeah me either.

It takes a baby falling down over and over again to finally figure it out.
And it’s the same thing for each of us. And if you don’t have the right mindset
going into this, then when you fail, you will give up too.

So along with Personal Development each day, you need to work on the
skills that will give you success. These skills involve advertising, understanding,
capture, pages, building your list, effective communication with your list and
funnel building. As you begin to master, each of these, you will see things
change dramatically.

“What is this, 1664?” I thought as the wooden ship creaked and groaned
around me. I was sailing to Catalina in a real square rigged sailing ship
and it felt like I had gone back in time.

Pirates, pirate gold, adventures at sea! This is the stuff that got me going,
learning how to sail in the first place. I guess it can’t be helped that not only
did I start sailing but also wrote a book about it too (lol!).

“There are no secrets to success – yeah right!” I mumbled. “That’s why
everyone is so successful working online!” I laughed.

So let me do you a favor and tell you the truth:

Here’s the 2nd secret in building your business: Critical Skill #2:

“Effective Capture Page Creation”. Or to put it simply:

“Learn how to build an easy but effective splash page.”

Why you might ask? Well because if you don’t learn how to capture
your audiences attention, then you won’t get subscribers and if you don’t
do this, you won’t build your list and if you don’t build a list, you won’t have
anyone to talk to and build customer relations with. Simple! (haha!).

So it’s an important skill to learn. Does it sound hard or like you need
technical skills? On the outside it does. But the reality is that it doesn’t.
There are plenty of great capture page makers that are user friendly. You
just need to start using one and getting better at it.

Why on earth do I keep failing at this?

“What is the deal?” I almost shouted at myself. “Why can’t I ever seem

to make any money online!” You’ve been there too I can see…

So curious why you may be failing online?

The reason is actually very simple. Even if you’re following our “system”
or Darren’s system or Jeff’s System or whatever system – you will fail.
Do you know why?

It’s because you’re not implementing real skills. There are five critical
skills to marketing online and just like anything else, you need to
learn them.

That’s why Elizabeta, myself, and a host of others are not failing. We
advertise a lot each week. We track our links and see how many
subscribers we get compared to how many hits we get. We make our
own splash pages. We build our own list. We communicate with our list,
initiate conversation with our list, and reply back to our list.
This is what four of the five skills are.

And if you are just advertising only and not doing the other skills -you’re
like a baby living on milk only. You may get a paying signup here and there
but you’re not like the mother bird going to get the food.

So what to do about it? Simple. Learn the skills one by one. And be patient
with yourself. It takes time to learn. It took us a lot of time and persistence.
We were discouraged too. But eventually, you will learn!
But you need to take action and take responsibility for your success.
